Volt is immediately hiring a Manufacturing Manager in Jacksonville, FL for the largest manufacturer of electrical distribution and control systems. In this role you will show knowledge and experience in an MTS high volume vertically integrated manufacturing operation.
Our client delivers the most innovative electrical distribution product manufacturing systems in the world.
As a Manufacturing Manager you will be:

  • Responsible to plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations to ensure the company fulfills its mission of delivering quality products on a timely schedule, while meeting efficiency and productivity objectives
  • Grant direction to production team and creates the right network and collaboration relationship with other departments such as EHS, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Process improvement, HR and Finance and others to facilitate the production flow, and achieve goals established for the period
  • Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operations which ensure the most effective return on assets
  • Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes
  • Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports IEM strategic initiatives.
  • Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.
  • Improving the productivity level of the workers on continuous basis by workforce training and by bringing into use the standards of the performance derived from work measurement studies etc.
  • Establish a continuous improvement culture and promote lean activities.
    This is a full-time Direct opportunity.
    The ideal candidate will have:
    • Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business. CPIM certification would be an asset. A minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in similar roles with progressive levels of responsibility in manufacturing, engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering (including M&I flow, Standard Operations, plant layout, waste elimination, continuous improvement, engineering change control) with a thorough understanding of manufacturing and financial KPI.
    • PC literate with MS Office 365
    • Experience working with ERP systems (Infor/Syteline would be an asset)
    • Strong leadership, motivational, & interpersonal skills
      Pay Range: $75-90K year.
      *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
