Escrow QA Specialist I JOB SUMMARY Review and Process reports to identify and correct Escrow lines in MSP. Complete full audit reviews to include providing substantiating documentation as required. Ensure that all Escrow department procedures are meeting compliance standards. Process results from reports to provide the Escrow department with key metrics as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Ensure that all outgoing and incoming loan transfers have met all requirements for payment of Taxes, Insurance, and MI/PMI through processing work/reports as assigned. Disburse payments and/or make corrections to Tax, Hazard and MI/PMI lines per guidelines. - Prepare reports of findings on loan transfers, and provide to the loan transfer Coordinator. - Process results from reports to provide areas within the Escrow department of key metrics as required. - Track, process and pay open tax items. Reconciliation of disbursements on tax bills. - Handle customer and client issues related to real estate taxes via telephone, email and /or written correspondence. Document all findings in the system of record. - Manage time and workload efficiently to accomplish tasks assigned timely and accurately. - Complete internal audits, client loan review reports and special projects as assigned. - Conduct internal audits as assigned. - All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - High School Diploma or equivalent required - Preferred 2 to 3 years of experience in mortgage loan servicing (taxing authority, mortgage loan processing/closing, accounts payable, accounting clerk, or banking clerk experience or similar roles may be acceptable) or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Knowledge of taxing authority due dates i.e. delinquency and loss of discount rates dates - Must be multi-faceted and have the ability to successfully prioritize work assignments to ensure all deadlines are met - Inquisitive, problem-solver, analytical mind-set, organization skills and excellent follow-up skills are a must - Possess good written and verbal communication skills while staying focused on the task at hand - Display/instill strong work ethic, and implement best practices - Data Entry and 10 Key calculator skills are required - Practical use with personal computer including excel, word, email, and internet research - Responsive and open to change in processes and ability to take and provide clear direction WORK CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Over time required as necessary.
