SUMMARY: Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting which includes developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Handle all general accounting functions for the Company such as debt accounting and compliance; capital spending, reporting and compliance; operating tax compliance and reporting for all domestic locations and companies; balance sheet and cash flow accounting, reporting, and forecasting. Negotiate, plan and administer the external audit of all financial statements, special reports and/or agreed upon procedure letters produced for external reporting. Provide guidance on technical accounting matters and focus the accountability for the core financial reporting controls and procedures. Monitor and maintain controls around financial reporting processes. Responsible for completing complex and technical financial analysis and interpretation. Assist in assessing implementation issues and implementing new accounting standards. Implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Identify and implement advancements in the quality, content and efficiency in corporate reporting ensuring consistency both cross functional and at the corporate level. Stay current on issues and company developments that could impact company planning and reporting. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. EXPERIENCE: 10 years management experience which include audit, GAAP accounting principles and regulatory reporting. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint; familiar with the quarterly and annual financial statements filing format for the SEC and abreast of GAAP/SEC changes. CPA required. COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to develop, improve and streamline processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees. Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology. Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles, and practices of change management. JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
