Overview
Florida East Coast Railway is currently seeking a Collections & Revenue Specialist to join our Accounting group in Jacksonville, FL. - This position handles business to business account follow-up and collections as needed for our customers. Position is day shift Monday-Friday on-site. Candidate must be flexible to work later hours during month-end close activites and support team, even on holidays.

Relocation assistance is NOT offered for this position.
Responsibilities

• 
  
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
  
• Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
  
• Find and contact business customers to ask about their overdue payments
  
• Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
  
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues
  
• Update account status records and collection efforts
  
• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  
• Assist with Internal and External Audit Requests
  
• Account Reconciliations
  
• Other duties as assigned - -
  
  Qualifications
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  • 
    
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
    
  • Accounting, collections, or revenue experience
    
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
    
    
    -PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
    
    • 
      
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably with an emphasis Finance or Accounting
      
    • Knowledge of TL2000, AS400, and JD Edwards E1
      
    • Intermodal Directory, Carload Directory, Drayage Circular experience
      
    • Railroad or trucking revenue experience
