Regional Job BoardJob DescriptionKIPP Jacksonville Public Schools
seeks middle school math teachers for the 2022-23 school year.
Teachers are assigned one grade level and are responsible for
creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum,
assessing students, collaborating with their team, building
relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full
teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school
leader.For the 2022-23 school year, teachers at KIPP Jacksonville
Public Schools (K-8) will work from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday
through Friday and may have occasional meetings or special school
events outside of these hours. Student hours are typically 8:00
a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Every Wednesday is a student early release day
(1:30 p.m.), which allows teachers to participate in weekly
professional development.Our first day for new teacher professional
development will be July 18th, 2022. OUR CURRENT MODELThere are
four "home room" teachers on each grade level who are each
responsible for teaching a core subject. (For example, there are
four teachers on the 7th grade team; each staff member teaches
every student on that grade level for their assigned subject.)
Class size is typically about 25 students per class. Subjects on
each grade level include English Language Arts, Social Studies,
Math, and Science. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSOur current
compensation and benefits structure is very competitive and is
commensurate with experience. Our current starting salary for a
first-year lead teacher is $50,000Free individual health benefits

QualificationsBachelor's DegreeRelevant Florida Teaching
Certification or Eligibility for Certification in one of the
following areas: Middle Grades Math 5-9Secondary Math 6-12At least
one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record
of high achievement in the classroomKIPP Public Schools
