Bio-Rad is looking for a Field Service Engineer with a degree in Biomedical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering for an opening in the Orlando,FL area.Whether a routine maintenance call or troubleshooting a problem and finding solutions, our Field Service Engineers play a leading role in supporting the onsite technical needs of Bio-Rad customers. In this highly autonomous role, you will spend the majority of your time at customer sites, with travel up to 5 days a week in your assigned territory as part of a national service team. No day or week will look the same, and your work will have a direct impact on Bio-Rad's success!The environment and culture for this role is fast-paced and you'll be constantly "on the go". It requires the ability to solve complex problems while maintaining strong relationships with our customers.Quick Summary:The person taking the Field Service Engineer role will spend the majority of their time in four key areas.They are:1.) Traveling between hospitals/labs based on assignment of service requests. 2.) Troubleshooting and resolving customer and product issues.3.) Building positive relationships with Bio-Rad customers.4.) Documenting service results in order to maintain accurate quality records.What we offer:

    How You'll Make An Impact:

    • Provides customer site service on all assigned Bio-Rad laboratory instruments, including emergency service.
    • Maximizes system uptime through proactive preventive maintenance.
    • Acts as customer advocate to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Maintains company assets including parts inventory and leased vehicle.
    • Administrative duties which include service documentation consistent with FDA regulations.
    • Other duties include accurate expense reporting and timekeeping.
    • Must maintain learning plan in training database and regular product update training.
    • 50-70% daily local travel via a provided company vehicle; 30-50% overnight travel may be required.
      What You Bring:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or military equivalent experience.
      • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
      • Ability to read, understand and successfully follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
      • Strong computer skills with fundamental knowledge of computer networking allowing interface with customer I.T. departments.
      • Good customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
