character.Security Engineer -The Security Engineer will contribute
to the development and enhancement of a comprehensive information
security program. Responsible for implementing and ensuring
coverage, completeness, and accuracy of security controls and
operational information security capabilities, documenting security
policies, processes and standards. Reporting to the Chief
Information Security Officer; this position is responsible for
cyber incident response, providing support and optimization of
systems and tools for boundary, network, email and endpoint
security / monitoring.The Security Engineer will be part of a team
supporting Company's internal audits (e.g. HITRUST, SOC2, etc.) and
client audits. -Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -
Serves as an information security
subject matter expert.Works closely with and provides
guidance/direction to the Managed Security Service and Security
Operations Center.Performs regular information security procedures
and system attestations to ensure accuracy and compliance for
internal and external audits.Provides operational support and
optimization for security technologies/capabilities -Assist in
developing security policies and procedures.Assists in development
and deployment of information security awareness, training and
communication capabilities.Responsible for operating, maintaining
and supporting various security tools.Collaborates with other
security and infrastructure team members to identify and implement
solutions.Works with business partners in resolving
security-related infrastructure outages. Must possess expert
troubleshooting skills.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: -
Experience with Advanced Threat
Detection, Endpoint Protection, EDR, DLP, Email Security, Web
Security, Vulnerability Scanning, SIEM, MFA, and firewalls.
-Experience working in or managing a NOC/SOC and/or MSSP experience
is a plusAbility to react quickly in a fast paced, rapidly changing
environment. -Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks
and responsibilities. -Must display high level of critical thinking
in order to weigh alternatives and present solutions that are
consistent with requirements. -Ability to think holistically and
identify areas of technical and non-technical risk. -Ability to
technically report, communicate, and document any findings. -Has a
strong desire to train and stay up to date on the latest security
trends/capabilities.Requirements
3 to 8 years of experience in a
related field or equivalent experience in the industry.A Bachelor's
Degree in technology-related curriculum or equivalent
experienceCISSP and/or similar security certifications preferred.
-Knowledge of information security frameworks and industry
regulations (e.g. NIST, HIPAA, CoBIT, PCI DSS, SSAE 18).Additional
