ABOUT THE POSITION:
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional
goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the entry-level
geotechnical engineer position include:
* Conducting geotechnical field investigations;
* Monitoring heavy civil construction projects;
* Performing and reviewing engineering calculations;
* Landfill design and permitting;
* Dam and levee evaluations;
* Developing construction documents; and
* Writing and reviewing engineering reports.
You should expect to work closely with experienced professionals

about a typical entry-level geotechnical engineering position with
* Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first
aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm.

professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary
to become successful consultants.
* Fieldwork: Up to 50%
* Overnight travel: Up to 30%

* BS degree in civil engineering. (required)
* Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
* Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting.
* Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification. (preferred)
* Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as
AutoCAD, gINT, SLIDE or SLOPE/W, and HYDROCAD. (preferred)
* Ability to obtain P.E. registration within four years of
* Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
