The Role: Territory Manager
The Territory Manager owns all client, prospect, and center-of-influence relationships in a specific geographic territory. You are the engine that powers our sales force with the primary goal of increasing market share and growing the territorys book of business. You will provide leadership and direction to the members of your team. You'll have the opportunity to flex your entrepreneurial skills to develop and execute business strategies that grow your book and income.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and achieve sales forecasts within territory with input and support from the Account Executive (AE) and Client Manager (CM).
  • Identify new prospects in territory and work with your team to qualify and convert into new clients
  • Initiate new opportunities from current clients, pass along relevant information to AE, and assist in closing new opportunities.
  • Leverage positive relationships with current clients into warm referrals to other clients in the market.
  • Develop engagement plans for clients and delegate responsibilities to CM and AE in order to meet and exceed sales forecasts.
  • Regularly visit clients in person to uncover new opportunities and ensure they are receiving the service levels expected.
  • Network with all of the centers of influence within territory and find ways to bring mutual value to them. Leverage these relationships into additional warm referrals.
  • Be known in-market as the go-to person for our products by regularly attending, organizing, and speaking at networking events.
  • Communicate Company value proposition to prospects and build excitement about partnering.
  • Continually explore new opportunities with clients by being adept at uncovering needs and aligning with product offerings of the Company.
  • Work with AE and CM on setting and having account planning meetings with top-tier clients in-market.
  • Stay aware of competitive threats within the market and regularly communicate these threats with sales leadership.
  • When required, work with Asset Management to leverage their relationship to work through any troubling situations in order to help preserve the long-term relationship.

    • Active listening skills capable of identifying borrower needs.
    • Previous business experience in a direct outside sales role.
    • Detail-oriented and organized.
    • Ability to critically think.
    • Demonstrated patience and persistence.
    • Understanding of value proposition and value-based sales techniques.
    • Bachelors degree in business preferred.
    • Technology proficient and adopter of change.
