3251: Data Management Specialist IPosition Code3251Job StatusFull TimeLocationJacksonville, FLDivisionTech Services - ManufacturingDepartmentTraining DevicesJob Summary:The Data Management Specialist I inputs information from engineering drawings and bill of materials into the material requirements planning system.Essential Job Function:--- Enters data into material requirements planning system.--- Maintains filing and archive system for documentation.--- Manufacturing order rework updates.--- Part number creation and entry into Costpoint MRP.--- Bill of Materials (BOM) creation from drawing.--- REV changes to BOM and MO.--- Manufacturing work order traveler creation.--- Scan, store, and file completed travelers.--- Safely handles government furnished equipment and materials.--- Works a standard weekly schedule of 40 hours with overtime as required.--- Performs other duties as required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:--- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with others.--- Must interact collaboratively with managers and co-workers.--- Must demonstrate accuracy and speed while entering data.--- Must be able to use some or all of the following technologies: Microsoft Office Suite: including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access, and Internet Explorer.--- Must be capable of learning and adapting to various software programs.--- Must be capable of operating standard office equipment, such as personal computers, telephones, printers, copiers, scanners, and facsimile machines.--- Must be able to obtain a clearance if required by the contract.--- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is preferred.--- Manufacturing or production experience is well regarded.--- Knowledge or previous use of MRP systems is advantageous. Education:--- High School Graduate or equivalent.Experience:--- One year general office experience is required.
