GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President, is responsible for executing strategies and processes developed by HBI to identify employers and promote the employment of WTE graduates. Serves as primary liaison between HBI and employers on a regional and national scale. Provides leadership to the career transition coordinator (s) in meeting goals, evaluating, and improving placement practices, and developing cost-efficiencies. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage career transition coordinator (s) to meet and exceed employment goals for students.Develop and maintain a comprehensive network of contacts to identify and obtain employment opportunities for students and graduates across diverse locations.Supervise the Placement Coordinator to ensure compliance is met with company guidelines related to the quality of service.Maintain strong relationships with senior-level representatives and Hiring Managers to ensure continuing job leads and new opportunities. Utilize multi-channel sourcing activities such as the internet, social media, career sites, and professional organizations to identify employment opportunities.Conduct cold-calling and attend networking events to create new partnerships and identify employment opportunities.Implement processes within the placement team to ensure success with quality, on-time placement, and employer satisfaction.Maintain consistent and frequent communication with potential employers during the job search period to influence a positive outcome.Place students per contractual guidelines and, when required, collaborate with the RCDC to assist in the placement of students. Conducts periodic follow-ups on students' progress after the initial job placement.Identifies opportunities to update or improve employer and placement opportunities within WTE. Provide guidance and leadership to placement staff, including performance reviews and training (as needed) for staff and new hires (e.g., student interviewing techniques and resume building).Participate in the planning, organizing, and executing of employer recruitment events.Ensure that all employment and placement-related data are accurately maintained in appropriate database systems.Assist in training WTE staff in data system usage and proficiency to meet reporting data outcomes. Prepare and present reports for senior leadership to share key insights and opportunities (e.g., job market landscape, employment trends impacting HBI programs, placement statistics, etc.)Survey employer and graduate to measure the effectiveness of the training and job placement.Domestic travel as required in-state and out-of-state (up to 50% annually).Performs all other duties as assigned. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Internal: Communicates with WTE staff at all levels. Works with National Office staff as appropriate.External: Employers (current and prospective), students, partnersQUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training, skills, and experience Experience/Skills: A minimum of 5 years of experience in career placement/career servicesThree (3) years of management experience, with supervisory experience preferred.Must be able to uphold HBI's core values (Excellence, Integrity, Safety, and Service)Ability to cold-call employers to solicit job leadsExcellent organizational skills, including time management.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skills with outstanding follow-up and follow-through.Strong sense of professionalism and tact. The ability to handle confidential information is essential.Must possess excellent creativity and problem-solving skillsAbility to take the initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects, delivering within deadlines.Proficiency with MS Office skills and experience with database programs neededWORKING CONDITIONS:Usual office-type working conditions.
