SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support and guide the Crowley Logistics business unit. Working closely with our Centers of Excellence (COE), this role will provide consultation and expertise in all areas of Human Resources while also providing leadership, strategic counsel, advisory and consultative services to Crowley's largest business unit. The successful candidate will fully develop an understanding of assigned business areas and represent the interests of those areas within and outside of People & Culture. The role will report to the Vice President of HR Business Partnering. Crowley Logistics is a singular supply chain division which serves more than 12,000 customers and manages more than one million shipments annually on a global scale. The group blends company-owned assets and services with its worldwide network of service providers to reduce complexity and add velocity to customers' supply chains. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership and consultation and support to leaders within assigned business are to maximize organizational capability, create an excellent employee experience and cultivate our culture.
  • Build credibility and trust with the workforce and leaders while navigating complex business relationships. Leverage those relationship to diagnose and coach leaders on team, organization, and their own effectiveness.
  • Use understanding of business, company, and department goals to identify needs, opportunities, solutions, and risks relating to human resources programs and services, workforce productivity, retention, employee engagement, organizational design, performance, talent management, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Drive the talent strategy for contract phase-ins/phase-outs and lead key onboarding deliverables including but not limited to workforce mapping, organizational planning, employee vetting, onboarding, and training.
  • Proactively assess team, manager and organizational needs to make recommendations and lead/support the implementation of appropriate solutions with a high degree of focus on scale and growth.
  • Partner with COEs to translate business priorities into talent management outcomes.
  • Lead succession management and talent review discussions and partner with COEs as appropriate based on outcomes.
  • Interpret and analyze workforce data to identify needs, risks, and themes. Communicate findings with the business as well as COEs and provide recommendations to leadership. Using knowledge of the business to frame data in a meaningful way when making recommendations.
  • Partner with leadership to maintain a work environment that keeps employees engaged.
  • Participate in a variety of HR projects and assist with the research, development, and implementation of HR initiatives.
  • May lead HR related M&A efforts. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, finance or a related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and equivalent work experience. EXPERIENCE: 8+ years experience operating in an HR Business Partner role.
    • Interaction and participation with revenue and profitability business meetings, discussions, and engagements.
    • Experience supporting and establishing international locations preferred
    • PHR or SPHR certification as designated by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) or a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification as designated by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) preferred TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient with HR information and talent acquisition/management systems and tools. OTHER:
      • Location: Jacksonville, FL
      • Hybrid office working environment.

      • Ability to travel domestically and internationally. COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to strategically plan and serve as a catalyst for organizational change, cultivate a shared vision with others, and motivate others to transfer vision into action. Ability to interpret and apply related federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations related to the administration of human resources/labor relations. Ability to manage conflict and demonstrate the courage to challenge organizational thinking and the status quo. JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
