If you're as passionate about your future as we are, join our team.KPMG is currently seeking a Executive Director, Risk Management (Privacy) to join our Quality and Risk Management - Information Protection team which is part of KPMG International.Responsibilities:

  • Lead the privacy risk team for KPMGI on complex data protection matters, including cross-border data transfers, information security incidents, data breaches and cybercrimes and disclosures of data to governmental and regulatory authorities, providing responses and input to privacy queries from data subjects, clients, regulators and other third parties
  • Oversee the privacy risk management framework to ensure the appropriate application of controls based on risk or applicable legal requirements and subsequently provide input and guidance to Member Firms on Global Privacy requirements relating to the understanding and successful operation of KPMG's global privacy controls, including communications, workshops and training
  • Work with IOGC and across Member Firms and Global Functions to proactively monitor and respond to the developments in the data privacy and information protection landscape and advises on the impact of these on the global organization's business and service lines
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of information protection and privacy training to be leveraged globally across the KPMG network
  • Define and oversee the Privacy Risk Register for KPMG global applications and processes, including mitigating controls and remediation efforts - continually develop, enhance and lead KPMG International's global privacy compliance program
  • Drive continuous improvement of privacy practices across the network and working with other teams in KPMG International and member firms to ensure KPMG's ongoing compliance with data protection regulationQualifications:
    • Minimum ten years of recent experience in one or more of the following areas: privacy, information protection, data protection, privacy risk management, enterprise risk management, privacy operations, legal privacy and compliance, within a corporate environment, government organization, legal/consulting firm (global organizations preferred)
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
    • Relevant Privacy, Information Protection or Risk Management certification (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CRISC, CISSP, CISM and CISA) preferred
    • Expertise in translating complex regulatory issues, within the context of complex technical and business issues, into easily understandable, pragmatic and commercial advice
    • Ability to travel as necessary
