career with us.* * SUMMARY: *The Vice President of Project
Management will be responsible for leading the project management
team throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Safety,
Quality, Delivery and Cost will be the foundational elements and
deliverables for this cross-functional leader. *GENERAL
RESPONSIBILITIES: *Lead a team of project management professionals
in the Offshore Wind space to execute commercial projects
supporting the Wind Customers and Developers as well as
construction projects such as Terminal development or renovation.
Support the overall Wind Services strategy by partnering
cross-functionally within the team as well as the broader Crowley
organization. * Build out a Project Management team to include
Project Managers, Projects Control and Contract Management.
Leverage the broader Crowley organization to optimize the support
structure. * Develop the processes and procedures needed to operate
a world class project management organization. Operationalize these
into the daily work of the team. * Partner with the Business
Development team to support commercial strategy development,
commercial negotiations, and the handoff process to transition into
the execution phase from commercial. * Prepare and lead project
reviews to include milestone tracking, cost accounting, contract
management and customer perfomance. Establish a well documented
change order process that supports the business and customer needs.
* Lead the negotiations for all dispute resolution during the
project closure phase. * Report out on the financial performance of
the Projects porfolio to the senior leadership team. * Assist in
developing spending plans and track all associated expenses. Manage
personnel, coordinate with responsible lines/accounts, align
resources required for the execution of opportunities, develop and
improve upon processes, manage budgets, report metrics/manage risk
and effectively lead growth within the business. * Lead the
planning, scoping, scheduling, design, budgeting, resource
allocation and risk analysis of current and potential projects.
Develop, track and implement controls to manage projects and
organizational risk. * Ensure compliance with all federal, state
and local regulatory agency required guidelines. Establish and
manage communication protocols with all internal and external
parties. * Manage subcontractors both union and non-union.
*EDUCATION: *Bachelors degree in business, engineering,
construction management, or a related field. * EXPERIENCE: *10
years related project management experience preferably with supply
chain management, marine operations and/or construction projects.
*TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: *Proficient in Microsoft Office products,
including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient in utilizing project
management software such as Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.
*COMPETENCIES: *Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to
effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or
alternatives. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets,
as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to
function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to
identify and/or document existing and new trend, as well as
evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to
mentor, coach, train and supervise employees. Knowledge of
purchasing, procurement, budgeting and administrative management.
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of project
designing, scheduling, estimating, planning, and inspecting.
Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration as well as the
ability to execute contracts in compliance with corporate
guidelines. *OTHER: *Project Management Professional (PMP)
certification is preferred. *JOB SCOPE: *Position impacts multiple
business units/segments. *WORKING CONDITIONS: *Works both inside an
office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and
low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical
hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment.
Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted
headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of
computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to
