Job Description:
The Cyber Risk Sr Officer I is a strategic professional who
closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for
application within own job and the business. Typically a small
number of people within the business that provide the same level of
expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to
negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed
communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide,
influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other
areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for
significant direct business results or authoritative advice
regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of
responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a
sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues,
including resource management and allocation of work within the
team/project.Responsibilities:
- Establishes and oversees the application of operational risk
policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create
lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal
processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
- Develops publications and briefings of multi-source
intelligence products on threat issues.
- Establishes credibly challenging the front line's criteria,
tools and methodologies used for threat intelligence and threat
analysis.
- Serves as the substantive analytical authority for analysis and
production of intelligence assessments on the impact of threats to
Citi globally.
- Produces innovative strategic-level intelligence reports that
promote decision making to advance the safety and security of
Citi's infrastructure and brand.
- Leads intelligence production within the Risk organization,
producing strategic intelligence products and threat forecasts, and
serve as a primary liaison to the first line intelligence
components.
- Reviews analytical products and drive analytical planning and
the intelligence production cycle.
- Handles intelligence projects and programs with a host of
participants and stakeholders while guiding analytical efforts on
complex issues. Drive outcomes and recommendations of intelligence
projects into Citi businesses globally.
- Guides decisions by intelligence, policy, business and client
groups concerning threat issues.
- Develops, implements and tracks performance metrics on the
impact of intelligence production on business processes, procedures
and/or policies globally.
- Partners with senior Citi staff to produce strategic threat
intelligence products and threat forecasts.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,
demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation
and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Knowledgeable about current and emerging trends.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication. Developed
communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide,
influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other
areas and occasional external customers. experience with complex
judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought
comparing and selecting complex alternatives.Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
- Providing ongoing assessment of the technology risk profile
through regular status reporting of risk issues and
initiatives
- Preparing effective technology risk reporting and other
communication channels to ensure timely escalation of significant
risk issues.
- Develop and deliver reports and metrics for management.
- Serving as a 'trusted advisor' with other risk disciplines,
internal departments, regulators, and other external parties
- Acting as subject matter expert in technology risk, controls,
compliance, Cyber and information security best practices
- Overseeing risk assessments of key systems, technologies, and
processes to facilitate compliance/control reviews and associated
remediation efforts
- Utilizing available risk management tools in conjunction with
other environmental changes to proactively monitor the technology
control environment and identify and address potential weaknesses
and/or gaps in a timely manner
- Plan, lead, and execute strategic/tactical initiatives
spanning, tech risk, cyber and processing risk.
- Provide consultation on risks, controls, and remediation
activities.
- Work with partners in-region across all the technology sectors,
and globally within Citi
- Conduct risk assessments, regulatory and compliance assessments
for services and processes under Citi Technology
- Participate in internal, external, regulatory, and other audits
end-to-end, providing proper perspective on risks and issues.
- Independently assess the effectiveness of controls, determine
the impact of control issues, identify corrective action, and track
