The Branch Director will oversee the daily operations of assigned
branch locations and branch leaders. The director will work closely
with the management team to ensure branches are meeting their
financial goals and providing excellent customer service.
Responsible for managing branch risk, ensuring operational
efficiency, and maintaining compliance with credit union policies
and regulations. Plays a key role in branch budgeting, member
satisfaction, and supports the strategic plans for branch growth.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to branch managers and staff to
ensure that they are meeting performance expectations and
delivering excellent member service. Monitor branch performance and
ensure that all branches are meeting targets for member service,
sales, and operational efficiency. Develop and implement branch
strategy, policies, and procedures in alignment with the credit
union's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other department heads and credit union
executives to develop and implement new products and services.
Monitor and analyze market trends and competition to inform branch
strategies. Ensure that all branch staff are trained on credit
union policies, products, and services, as well as compliance
requirements.
- Collaborate with credit union management to develop and
implement organization-wide initiatives and strategies.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with members,
employees, and community groups across all branches. Participate in
credit union committees and other groups to provide input on
products and services, and represent the credit union in the
community.
- Develop and manage budgets for branch operations, ensuring that
financial goals are met.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but
not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the
Office of Foreign Assets Control. Knowledge and
SkillsExperienceFive years to eight years of similar or related
experience, including preparatory
experience.Education/Certifications/LicensesA college degree
preferred. Interpersonal SkillsThe ability to motivate or influence
internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part
of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.
Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via
frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a
professional level of written communication skills are essential to
the position.Other SkillsStrong knowledge of federal and state
regulations governing credit unions and financial institutions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability
to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Strong
leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and
coach teams. Ability to analyze financial and operational data and
develop strategies to improve performance.ADA RequirementsPhysical
RequirementsIs able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform
primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and
occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing /
descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to
operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and
keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must
be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8
hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours
or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.Working
ConditionsMust be able to routinely perform work indoors in
climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.Mental
and/or Emotional RequirementsMust be able to perform job functions
independently or with limited supervision and work effectively
either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry
out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must
be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell
accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak
