Apply Description MoneySolver is adding a General Manager, Student Loans to our team. The General Manager will be responsible for the P&L for Student Loan Products and should be experienced in directing multiple functions of a company such as sales, marketing, customer service, and operations.
Essential Job Functions:---Develops strategic plan by studying consumer behaviors, regulations, technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.---Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections. ---Partners with the reporting team to create accurate and timely reporting to the rest of the company to ensure data integrity and consistency ---Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.---Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies, including compliance training---Implement planning, incentives and communications for the assigned team---Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach goals---Responsible for resource planning to ensure team is staffed accurately to meet targets---Establishes internal business relationships and facilitates the implementation of product changes through other parts of the organization---Engages and interacts with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups, and information gathering sessions.
Minimum Requirements:---Minimum of 5 years in leadership position ---Previous experience managing different teams within a single department---BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field required---Proficient financial knowledge and previous experience with P&L accountability ---Maintain up to date product and compliance knowledge by committing to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences ---Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization---Strong business sense and industry expertise---Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills---Exceptional written and verbal communication skills---Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced environment---Strong decision-making abilities ---Highly proficient computer skills including email, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:---Effective presentation and interpersonal skills---Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner---Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks ---Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner ---Customer service skills, understanding and focusing on clients' needs, establishing credibility and building positive, professional, relationships with clients ---Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally ---Project management skills; ability to prioritize and complete tasks
