1200Mobile Optometrist Providing Care to Skilled Nursing Facilities - We are seeking a Mobile Optometrist to join our team and provide excellent eye care to our patients! Whether you are a new college graduate or a seasoned physician, this could be a perfect opportunity! As an Aria Care Partners Optometrist, your responsibilities include servicing patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities around Jacksonville.400.00 - Delivering clinical services and routine, acute, and chronic eye disease care. To be successful in this role, you should be able to treat all kinds of patients with kindness and discretion, from the disabled to the elderly. Ultimately, you will ensure the accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries. Work-Life Balance that Works for You! Work as little as one day a week OR up to five days a week; full-time/part-time you choose, we work with your schedule! Compensation: $400.00 - 1200.00 Per Day Responsibilities Conduct eye exams using mobile optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation. Diagnose and treat ocular disease. Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses. Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options. Answer questions and educate patients, family or responsible parties, and facility staff about any concerning vision and optical matters. Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions. Support in the development of the overall service. Requirements -- In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects -- Direct experience with eye examination tools, such as ophthalmoscope and tonometer -- The ability to explain medical terms simply and calmly to senior patients and family Physical Demands & Working Conditions Work is performed in a skilled nursing setting with mobile optometry equipment. Prolonged periods are spent driving vehicles, standing,and moving throughout the facility. Must be able to perform eye exams and other procedures bedside and/or with patients in several types of wheelchairs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skills, and/or ability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Conduct eye exams using mobile optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation. Diagnose and treat ocular disease. Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses. Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options. Answer questions and provide advice to patients and facility staff regarding vision and optical issues. Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions. Direct clinical staff and assist in the development of the overall service. REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Doctor of Optometry from accredited school. Great opportunity for experienced doctors and new grads. Must have own reliable transportation.
