  As a Pediatric IntensiveCare Unit RN (PICU), you are responsible for the patient care of childrenand adolescents with a wide-range of diagnosis, from common childhood diseasesto life-threatening illnesses. You must use your nursing education and skillsto monitor these patients and assist their families with transparentcommunication and emotional support.
  What you will doin this role:
• You will monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators
• You will provide age and culturally appropriate care to patients
• You must collaborate effectively with the patient, the patients family/legal guardians and members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
• You will maintain and review patient records including posting tests and examination results
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders
• You will communicate with and educate parents on day-to-day operations as well as home-care procedures
  Qualifications Whatqualifications you may need:
• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
• Recent Pediatric or ICU experience preferred Orange Park Medical Center is a full service, certified Level II Trauma Centerwith 300 plus inpatient beds located in the heart of Orange Park, FL and justoutside of Jacksonville, FL.
