*On-call:****3-4 on call shifts including one weekend day is required per month***Age of Patients Served:All Age Groups.Required Education:High School Diploma or GED. Specific course work: Graduate of surgical technologist programOn-call:3-4 on call shifts including one weekend day is required per monthNecessary Skills:1. Strong working knowledge of patient care and basic human needs throughout the life span.2. In depth knowledge of medical terminology.3. Strong working knowledge of acute and chronic disease processes.4. Knowledge of computer programs used in perioperative services.5. Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team.6. Demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures and techniques resulting from departmental or organization change.7.
