About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Transplant Surgery team at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Florida. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform physical examinations
• Order and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Formulate a diagnostic impression and develop a treatment plan
• Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and offer counseling and education to meet patient needs
• Make appropriate referrals and prescribe and dispense prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies
• Assist in surgery and perform minor procedures and surgical procedures
• Demonstrate ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to patient's age-specific needs
• Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy developmentQualificationsWe are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a strong background in transplant surgery and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, ACNP or PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice
