your future. Responsibilities The Rossoll Lab at Mayo Clinic
Florida is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow to study the molecular
and proteomic mechanisms underlying TDP-43 and tau proteinopathies
associated with ALS/FTD and Alzheimer’s disease. This position
offers a unique opportunity to explore how disease-linked proteins
such as TDP-43 and tau interact with cellular pathways that govern
phase behavior, solubility, and neurotoxicity. The fellow will
apply state-of-the-art proteomic profiling (IP-MS and proximity
labeling), molecular and cell biology, and advanced imaging
approaches to uncover protein networks that drive or protect
against neurodegeneration. The research environment provides access
to world-class facilities including the Mayo Clinic Multi-Omics
Mass Spectrometry Core, Brain Bank, and collaborative links to the
neuroscience community at Mayo Clinic Florida. The position offers
an opportunity to work in a highly interactive neuroscience
community at Mayo Clinic Florida, with access to world-class
facilities and other resources, including the brain bank. A
Research Fellow position in Life Sciences (LS) will require
knowledge of either clinical-based research or laboratory-based
research often obtained from a postdoctoral program. A Research
Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide
training and education in research. Individuals will train in the
research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified
individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as
evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and
should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of
English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars,
Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns
sponsored by Mayo Clinic. Qualifications We are looking for
candidates who: • Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Cell or Molecular Biology,
Biochemistry or a related field • Expertise in molecular and cell
biology, fluorescence microscopy, and/or proteomics • Strong
interest in neurodegenerative mechanisms and protein network
biology • Motivation to work independently and collaboratively in
an interdisciplinary research team
