Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab
Technologist to join our faith-based healthcare organization. As
part of Ascension, you will contribute to our mission of
transforming healthcare through innovative approaches and providing
comprehensive, compassionate care. This role involves working in a
dynamic environment at one of our state-of-the-art catheterization
labs, where you will be instrumental in assisting with diagnostic
and interventional procedures that support patient health outcomes.
Assist in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac
catheterization procedures to help diagnose and treat
cardiovascular conditions. Operate advanced cath lab equipment
under the direction of physicians, including imaging technology and
monitoring devices, ensuring patient safety and compliance with
health regulations. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining
methods, providing support, and ensuring comfort. Monitor and
document patient status during procedures and report any concerns
to the attending cardiologist. Maintain a clean and sterile
environment in the cath lab by adhering to specific procedures and
protocols. Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Participate in training
sessions and stay updated with advancements in cardiac care
technology and procedures. Proficient in operating cath lab
equipment, including imaging and monitoring devices. Strong
understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
Excellent patient care and communication skills. Ability to work in
a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining precision
and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and critical
thinking skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Radiology Technologist
(CRT) or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
