Job Description:

seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing
in Bariatrics, ready to contribute to our mission of transforming
healthcare and empowering communities across our network of
hospitals and clinics. This role focuses on providing specialized
nursing care to patients undergoing or recovering from bariatric
procedures, working closely within a team to enhance patient
outcomes and uphold our standards of excellence in personalized
healthcare. Provide high-quality nursing care for bariatric
patients in pre-surgical consultations and post-surgical recovery.
Assist surgeons during bariatric procedures while managing all
nursing aspects to ensure a sterile and safe surgical environment.
Educate patients and their families on lifestyle changes post
surgery for optimum recovery and future health. Monitor patients'
dietary and nutritional needs, adjusting plans as necessary to meet
their specific health requirements. Coordinate with a
multidisciplinary team including nutritionists, surgeons, and
physical therapists to implement comprehensive care plans. Document
patients' health records meticulously and follow up to ensure
compliance with recovery protocols. Advocate for patient needs and
provide emotional support to patients and families, embodying
Ascension's mission of personalized, compassionate care. Strong
clinical skills in a surgical setting Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills Adept in using medical software for patient
management Knowledge of nutrition and dietetics specific to
bariatric care Ability to handle emotionally charged situations
with sensitivity and professionalism Medical Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
practice Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) preferred but not
required
