Summary and Qualifications The RN Director Women's Services is
responsible for the management of the day-to-day operation of the
assigned patient care areas. The Director is also responsible for
the supervision of assigned personnel. The position requires
intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and
procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive
skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations along
with management and supervisory skills are inherent in this
position. The Director will also have the ability to retrieve,
communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory
or visual fashion is essential. Written, computer, telephone skills
and manual dexterity are required. Specific responsibilities
include nursing quality improvement, policies and procedures,
productivity, staffing and scheduling, program development and
special projects. Responsible for providing input into the
development of department specific operating budgets, accountable
for management of operating budget(s), providing input into capital
supply and equipment needs, investigating and reporting variances.
What qualifications you will need: - Graduated from an accredited
school of nursing required; Diploma Program in Nursing, an
Associate Degree in Nursing, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a
Master’s Degree in Nursing; MSN preferred - Currently licensed as a
registered professional nurse in the state of practice and/or
active compact license, in accordance with laws and regulation
required. Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS., NRP
required - 1 years experience as a Director, Assistant Director or
Charge Nurse required; 5 years nursing experience in women's
