Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Bariatric Surgical Unit. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for bariatric surgery patients pre and post-operation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective patient care plans. Monitor patient's vital signs, manage pain, and detect any complications arising from surgeries. Provide educational and emotional support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care. Implement doctor's orders effectively and relay patient's condition changes to appropriate healthcare team members. Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports on patients' status. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards. Strong clinical skills with a focus on surgical procedures and patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when necessary. Detail-oriented with strong observational skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. BLS Certification required; ACLS preferred. Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) certification is desirable.
