POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Business Partner (Manufacturing) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management for the designated groups at the Jacksonville and Tradeport locations. This position develops and fosters business partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver value-added service and support to the teams. The HRBP will maintain an effective level of business literacy as the role will function as a strategic business partner regarding business, employee relations, compliance and culture matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a thought partner with managers to improve people-related priorities such as coaching and development of our Manufacturing employees
Advise employees by taking a consultative approach to help them enhance their working relationships, plan and execute on their career goals, and be impactful and successful contributors to the Swisher team
Serve as an initial point of contact and intermediary for the Manufacturing team by offering advice, counseling, and training on employee relations matters
Capability to understand the business and develop strategies and solutions to enable manufacturing teams to achieve the desired business goals and objectives
Participate in meetings between unions and management to discuss and attempt to resolve issues of mutual concern
Provide HR policy and CBA guidance and interpretation
Actively prepare for and participate in collective bargaining negotiations
Work hand-in-hand with Manufacturing Operations leadership and management to diagnose organizational design and development needs; increase employee motivation, engagement, productivity, and retention; recommend and implement solutions to continuously build morale; and drive our engaging and exciting culture.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of HR experience in manufacturing and/or service-related environment
Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation, employee relations, performance management and applicable federal, state and local laws
Functional knowledge of UKG HRIS platform preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, required
Experience working in a union/bargaining environment, strongly preferred
Demonstrated competency in interpreting and communicating collective bargaining agreements, procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), HRCI Professional of Human Resources (PHR), or HRCI Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) preferred

Ability to use data to support and influence decisions, express the business needs, and articulate program ideas to the management team
Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization by tailoring your approach to achieve partnership and the best possible outcome

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extended periods of time sitting at a desk and using a computer.
