Kavaliro is seeking a skilled E-Commerce Developer for our local
Jacksonville client to help design, develop, and enhance their
online retail platforms. This role is essential in ensuring an
intuitive and seamless shopping experience. The ideal candidate
should have a strong background in web development, particularly
within e-commerce ecosystems, and be able to work effectively with
business analysts and IT professionals to develop, test, and
implement solutions that align with business goals. Whether working

Develop, maintain, and optimize e-commerce websites and
applications, catering to both B2B and B2C audiences.
Write custom code, build modules, and develop components for
customer-facing and internal web applications based on stakeholder
requirements.
Translate UX/UI concepts into fully functional online experiences
while ensuring high usability.
Optimize site performance, scalability, and efficiency of
server-side code.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with CCPA,
GDPR, and other data protection regulations.
Provide technical support, consultation, and troubleshooting for
e-commerce platforms.
Lead development planning and integration processes from discovery
through launch.
Maintain up-to-date documentation on website configurations,
workflows, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with coding standards across various languages
and frameworks.
Log and analyze technical issues, providing resolutions and
suggestions for ongoing improvements.
Stay current with emerging web development and e-commerce
technologies, continuously seeking ways to improve performance and
user experience.
Manage multiple tasks effectively, staying organized as priorities
shift.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining clear
and open communication with team members.
Qualifications & Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a
related field (or equivalent work experience).
Required Skills & Expertise:
Demonstrated experience in e-commerce development, with a portfolio
showcasing past projects and a GitHub profile or code samples.
2+ years of front-end development experience with Magento 2.X,
adhering to best practices and quality standards.
4+ years of experience working with front-end frameworks such as
React, Next.js (preferred), Angular, Vue.js, or Knockout.js.
Strong skills in UI/UX design with a focus on creating engaging
customer experiences.
Experience building and customizing Magento themes and modules.
Proficiency in SQL, MySQL, and MariaDB for database management.
Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop
and Adobe XD).
Ability to wireframe and prototype feature designs before
development.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and
design patterns.
Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, TypeScript,
JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, XML, SOAP, and
responsive design.
Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, as well as
Service-Oriented Architecture concepts.
Knowledge of PCI compliance and payment gateway integrations.
Experience with PHP 8 OOP standards and Composer package
management.
Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and
A/B testing to enhance performance.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with attention to
detail.
Understanding of SEO best practices and ADA compliance
techniques.
Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to review
designs and gather customer requirements.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills:Magento certifications
are a plus.
Experience developing headless commerce solutions for Magento 2 or
other platforms.
Familiarity with Magento Functional Testing Framework, Unit
Testing, or Cypress.io for automated testing.
Knowledge of additional e-commerce platforms like Shopify and
WooCommerce.
Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or
Joomla.
Experience developing websites and React/Next.js applications for
B2B e-commerce.
Familiarity with Bloomreach, Algolia, or other search
providers.
Knowledge of RudderStack and front-end data integration.
Understanding of Magento 2 deployment strategies.
Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, or Elastic
Beanstalk.
Familiarity with build tools like Gulp, Grunt, Webpack.
Experience using Docker in both server and local development
environments.
Understanding of IBM DB2 databases and working with associated
tables/files.
Development Lifecycle & CollaborationExperience working with
version control systems such as Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to document and
explain technical concepts clearly.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team-based environment,
collaborating on problem-solving and feature development.
