Objective: The Field Service Technician is responsible for
diagnosing and repairing physical security systems and related
network connectivity issues. This includes hands-on work with
access control systems, video surveillance (both analog and IP),
security alarm systems, and other low-voltage electronic devices.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in physical
security technologies, low-voltage systems, relays, networking, and
IT. Strong customer service skills and a collaborative,
team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair physical security systems
onsite, ensuring timely restoration of full system functionality
Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with service and
maintenance contracts Troubleshoot system issues remotely using
designated software and internet access Travel daily to customer
sites throughout Florida to support service needs Participate in an
on-call emergency service rotation at least two weeks per month
Independently research and resolve equipment issues with minimal
oversight Support special projects and complete additional duties
as assigned Provide technical assistance on related support issues
as needed Address operational matters and tasks as directed by the
Service Coordinator or Manager Demonstrate strong organizational
and time management skills; ability to work independently and
collaboratively to prioritize tasks and achieve objectives with
minimal supervision Qualifications: High school diploma or
equivalent required; Associate degree in computer networking or a
related field preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a
relevant field such as security systems, CCTV, access control, or
networking and programming Strong electrical background with
knowledge of electrical materials, low-voltage system installation
maintenance and service Low-voltage expertise, including relays,
loops, and input/output systems Hands-on experience installing and
servicing complex electronic security systems Proficient in
diagnosing and repairing systems efficiently at customer sites
Experience with IP-based product configuration (IP address, DNS,
VPN) Familiarity with systems such as eMerge, SonicWall, iBoot,
Avigilon, Digital Watchdog, Speco, or similar card access and IP
video platforms Skilled in video surveillance system and camera
installations Experience working with NVRs (Network Video
Recorders) and video analytics Understanding of relay logic and
troubleshooting cables, systems, and connected devices Familiar
with electric lock hardware installation and servicing Strong
Microsoft Windows skills; ability to navigate LAN environments
within security installations Comfortable working with cabling
systems including Fiber Optic and Cat5e Ability to quickly learn
and adapt to manufacturer-specific software Gate service experience
is a plus, but not required Ability to read and interpret technical
documents, write reports and correspondence, communicate
effectively with customers and team members, and perform basic math
and measurement tasks. Essential Job Functions: Maintain a valid
driver's license and the ability to operate a company or personal
vehicle as required for travel to customer and job sites.
Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, in accordance
with company driving standards and applicable laws. Florida: Meet
eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain FASA/BASA
certifications , as required by state and regulatory standards.
Demonstrate ability to clearly read, write and understand English.

Elements: Technicians may work in various weather conditions (heat,

unpleasant odors, and moderate to loud noises. Hazards: Potential
exposure to hazards such as live electricity/high voltage,
electrical wiring, confined spaces, and working with heavy

standards, proper PPE use) is mandatory. Independent Work & Travel:
The role requires the ability to work independently in field
environments, manage inventory, and involve overnight travel within
a designated service area. Schedule: While primary hours may be
standard, the role often requires flexibility to work after-hours,
