Job Description:
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION The primary purpose of the Linen Depot
Manager position is to lead the utilization of linen in a depot
facility. This includes supervising linen technicians responsible
for the distribution and collection of linen, and ensuring customer
needs are met through inventory analysis, quality control, and cost
management. Manager will also operate company vehicles, and help
make deliveries occasionally. THE LINEN DEPOT MANAGER WILL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR DRIVING AND MEETING CUSTOMERS WHENS NECESSARY - CDL
PREFERRED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with Crown
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs,) lead the day-to-day
activities of the linen distribution department including:
Onboarding, training, and coaching of employees; Ensuring staffing
meets the needs of the customer; Seeking out opportunities to
improve utilization of linen. Coordinating with plant, fleet, and
service personnel to ensure high-quality products are served to the
customer in an efficient manner. Act as the primary representative
of Crown during customer interactions. Receive both positive and
negative feedback regarding personnel, product quality, and service
levels; Follow-up with customers with a resolution after a concern
is documented; Propose new business opportunities to increase
Crown's presence in the facility. Maintain accurate and appropriate
inventory levels. Tools used for this function include: Internal
inventory tracking software; Hand-counts of physical inventory
levels; Routine audits of distribution points throughout the
facility. Seek collaboration and/or assistance from senior managers
at Crown when needed to resolve any issues. Must keep exceptional
records regarding customer contacts, customer service issues, and
details of resolution. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Any
other duties as assigned or deemed necessary. Must be willing and
able to work with both clean and soiled linen in accordance with
Crown policies and procedures. Ensure that all paperwork is
complete at day's end and turned in as necessary. Give personalized
service to clients through monitoring use and service needs. Work
collaboratively with customers, always well-representing the
company through exceptional, conscientious service. The customer is
always right. Responsible for safe vehicle operation: Ensure that
truck receives routine maintenance. Ensure that truck is kept in an
acceptable, respectable fashion. Advise supervisor if truck is not
in good running order. Work with Sales/Service Reps to handle
routine customer requests or issues, or communicate with
appropriate individual to ensure that customer requests are
consistently met in a timely manner: Communicate in a timely manner
with internal resources Properly document customer issues so that
they can be appropriately handled. Q UALIFICATIONS 3 years outside
management experience Exceptional professional presence Exceptional
problem-solving skills to resolve both customer and employee issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Comfortable in a
team-based environment Bachelor's degree preferred INTERPERSONAL
SKILLS We are looking for responsible, mature individuals
possessing an up to date Department of Transportation physical, a
clean MVR, stable work history and at least 2 years driving
experience along with good Customer skills. Some heavy lifting is
required, as well as bending, pushing, and pulling. Our drivers
have full benefits after 60 days. Regular drivers license is
sufficient. The incumbent must consistently display a positive
company outlook and an energetic style. Effectively managing a
diverse team is essential to the success of the position. The
manager must be comfortable working directly with upper management
and/or ownership on development of relationships with the customer.
Additionally, they must be comfortable working with all levels of
the healthcare organization. DECISION MAKING ACCOUNTABILITY This
position decision-making influence includes, but is not limited to:
Employees' work schedules; Quantities and schedule of linen to be
delivered to the customer. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Must
have a valid Driver's License. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK
ENVIRONMENT The Depot Manager position is a "working manager"
position. The incumbent can expect to: Walk 3-5 miles per day
Load/unload linen from transportation devices by reaching, bending,
and lifting; Push/pull linen transportation devices that weigh in
excess of 500 pounds; Encounter, and be expected to safely handle,
soiled healthcare textiles; Spend 30-90 minutes per day in an
office focusing on data entry, documentation, and other
administrative responsibilities;
