This position has theresponsibility and authority to providea
lead role in basic and applied research, design, development,
test,and implementation of new products.Workincludes the design,
fabrication, modification and evaluation of electronicapparatus,
and components of circuitry for use in biomedical devices.

· Appliesextensive technical expertise towards the solution of
complex technicalproblems and provides solutions that require the
regular use of ingenuity andcreativity.
· Guidesthe successful completion of major programs and may
function in a project leadershiprole.
· Worksas a technical consultant to cross-functional project
teams to help solvetechnical problems, to provide technical
training and to build technologicalbridges between teams.
· Ableto develop and lead others in developing products through
all phases ofdefining design requirements, designing electronic
circuits and programmablelogic, testing circuits and systems,
documenting and verifying the design.
· Designs,simulates and implements electronic circuits (digital
and analog) utilizingelectrical circuit development tools, digital
signal processing, controlsystems, and microelectronics.
· Plans,designs and oversees the testing of devices according to
internationalelectrical emission, immunity and safety
· Effectivelyplan and estimate project deliverables, project
resources, project spending andproject completion dates.
· Providesa lead role in the definition of product/design
requirements and systemarchitecture development.
· Providesupport for existing products
· Developexperimental hardware and software to support
experimental protocols, drafttechnical papers, and develop hardware
and software tools to supportexperimental protocols.
MUST HAVE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
·B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 7+
years experience or an advanced degree and 5+ years experience
·Masters or Ph.D. Electrical Engineering.
·Experience and knowledge of electrical and electronic devices
for the medical industry.
·Detailed analog and digital design, test and measurement
·Able to use and apply technical principles, theories, concepts
·Experience designing and developing products in a regulated
·Working knowledge and experience with communication interface
design such as CAN, Ethernet, RFID
·Predictive engineering experience using modeling and simulation
tool such as ANSYS, COMSOL
·Hardware performance capability analisis using statistical
methods Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the
ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of
large scope and complexity.
·Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel
on significant technical matters often requiring coordination
between organizations and communication with senior management.
·Experience designing and developing products using DRM (DFSS)
·Ability to work without appreciable direction while
independently determining the approach to problems and
·Good written and verbal communication skills; including
technical writing skills and effective use of Microsoft Office
·Able to work and communicate effectively with other engineers,
designers, surgeons, marketers and suppliers to develop products
from concept through commercialization in a cross-functional
