To continue laying the groundwork, challenge what's possible and celebrate the power of inclusion, we seek to partner with driven individuals who are ready to elevate their career with us.* * SUMMARY: *Responsible for selecting, implementing, testing and delivering the best possible solutions for very large and complex IT projects which are visible company-wide while developing broad cross domain knowledge of both the business and technology domain. *GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: *Lead as a technical expert to identify and implement solutions to complex business problems. Coordinate with team members to ensure successful delivery of solutions to the customer. Develop models and plans to drive forward the strategy, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance. Conduct reviews of customer business requirements, use cases, architecture and other components within the customer environment to identify issues and make recommendations to meet the customer need. Develop and implement best practices for software and system architecture. Collaborate with various business units on projects to ensure successful implementation and delivery. Create the technology road map to achieve business goals. Review and approve work performed by team members and 3rd party vendors. Act as a mentor to other developers to help improve technical and professional skills. Monitor the market to gain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies. Identify new and emerging hardware/software technologies and products, access their relevance and value to the organization. *EDUCATION: *Bachelors degree in computer science, business or a related field; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to fourteen (14) years. * EXPERIENCE: *10 years of information technology experience; with at least 7 years of design, development and implementation of software applications. Specific application experience in the Blue Yonder TMS application design space is important and will relax some of the years of IT experience required. *TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: *Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Sharepoint. Strong analytical skills, advanced system/software architecture design skills, ASP.NET (C# and VB.net), Web Services and integration technologies (SSIS.IBM Message Broker, Message Oueuina). Experience in logistics in particular TMS applications and Blue Yonder specifically are very important. *COMPETENCIES: *Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to document existing and new processes. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to effectively manage, deliver and coordinate projects across multiple organizations that may vary in nature and scope while applying project management methodology. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trend, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization. Knowledge of various business systems in the marketplace as it relates to the industry and/or domain and able to demonstrate and apply operational standards, best practices and align it with organizational strategic objectives. Knowledge of business architecture to evaluate options and/or implement solutions to support decisions to the process. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field. Knowledge of and the ability to understand integration needs and configure third party applications. Knowledge of and the ability to utilize tools, concepts, principles, and practices of data collection, analysis and testing. *JOB SCOPE: *Position impacts the entire organization. *WORKING CONDITIONS: *Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
