Substance Abuse CounselorSITE OF SERVICE:
The contractor shall provide
personnel for service of the Naval Hospital Jacksonville (NHJ) in
the Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation Program (SARP), a division
of the Mental Health Department.Full Time Position -POSITION
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Education: ONE OF THE
FOLLOWING:Possess an Associates of Arts degree in behavioral
science with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical
dependency treatment.Completion of the Navy Drug and Alcohol
Counselor School (NDACS) that leads to Navy Certification as Navy
Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.
Certification: HCW shall possess and
maintain one of the following certifications:The National
Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors.The National Board
of Certification Counselors.
The International Certification &
Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse.Certification
as a Navy Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.License: Current, full,
active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified
Addictions CounselorAdditional Certifications: Current Basic Life
Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart
Association or American Red CrossExperience: Possess a minimum of 3
year experience within the preceding 5 years as a Substance Abuse
Counselor in a Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program which
includes male and female clients.U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S.
citizenEnglish Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak
English well enough to effectively communicate.Physical Capability:
Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended
periods of time and physically capable of performing all services
required under the contract.HOURS:
Services shall be provided Monday
through Friday, between the hours of 0700 and 2130 hours and
Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 0700 and 1700.Shifts will
normally be scheduled for an 8.5 hours period, to include an
uncompensated 30 minute lunch break.BENEFITS:
