X-Ray Technologist / X-Ray Tech / X-Ray

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for obtaining x-rays of the human body for valuable diagnostic information.

Responsibilities
X-Ray Technologist / X-Ray Tech / X-Ray
The X-Ray Technologist will:

• Prepare patients for the procedure and position them for the best possible outcome.
• Properly screen patients for contra indications for radiographic procedures
• Explain the procedure to patients.
• Process x-ray images
• Utilize principles of ALARA and proper radiation safety techniques.
• Demonstrate competency of the 10-day rule (pregnancy clearance)
• Keeps records of x-ray image, unit activities, and related records. Assists in the care and maintenance of x-ray equipment. Qualifications
  X-Ray Technologist / X-Ray Tech / X-Ray
  Qualified candidates will have:
  • Must be ARRT (R) and have valid state licenses as Medical Radiographic Technologist
  • CPR certification is required.
  • For applicants in Illinois and Pennsylvania: The COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment Education
    • Completion of an accredited ARRT Other Skills and Abilities
      • Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
