Responsibilities
Assists the Histotechnologist, Histotechnician, Pathologists, and Pathologist's Assistants in receiving and processing tissues, in filing and retrieving slides and blocks, equipment maintenance, equipment Quality Control and assisting in the collection of Fat Aspiration specimens.
Qualifications
High School diploma required. Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Some hospital experience preferred.Basic knowledge of Biology / Anatomy and Physiology preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program
Additional Qualifications:
Must be able to work irregular hours (rotating shifts) and evenings upon occasion.
