STATEMENT
The incumbent will be responsible for planning and leading a Credit
Union Safety and Soundness management program that will provide
ongoing threat analysis, identify, test, validate, and provide
corrective action for threat intelligence or technical
vulnerabilities in applications, vendor systems, and infrastructure
assets. The candidate will be the first line of defense for
technology risk. They will provide analysis of security
vulnerabilities and determine if there is a risk of threat and the
possible impacts and provide recommendations and technical
guidance. The candidate will collaborate with the Business
Continuity and Disaster Recovery team to enhance the program and
lead IT in BCDR events and process improvements. The candidate must
possess excellent diplomacy and communication skills, a deep
understanding of risk as well as the full lifecycle of a software
vulnerability from exploitation to mitigation.ESSENTIAL JOB
DUTIES
- Leads a strategic Safety and Soundness program that can adapt
to a rapidly changing threat landscape, changes in business
strategies, risks, and vulnerabilities. Maintains and manages
security policies and procedures and ensures department
adherence.
- Provide recommendations and technical guidance for the
lifecycle of vulnerability management.
- Assists in the research and development of tactical and
strategic system solutions and vulnerability management for
existing applications and new systems.
- Develops and presents executive reports and annual evaluations
on safety and soundness and vulnerability management.
- Plan for and execute an annual Disaster Recovery event to
ensure successful business continuity efforts.
- Leads cross-functional teams in vulnerability management
projects and initiatives to design viable remediation procedures
and address vulnerable systems.
- Collaborates with Information Security teams to optimize
efficiencies to reduce the level of effort, costs, and risks across
threat landscapes while facilitating awareness across the
organization.
- Maintain and update Business Continuity documentation and
ensure all employee information and system information is accurate
and up to date.
- Manages and tracks audit related issues and ensures responsible
teams meet their commitments for mitigation.
- Recommend and enable vulnerability management tools to
effectively scan the environments for vulnerabilities and
configuration issues.
- Create and mature vulnerability management reports and
dashboards to drive remediation and reduction of vulnerabilities
throughout the environment.

- Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
Management Information Systems (MIS) or other Information Systems
related technical field.
- Non-degree holders must possess a minimum of 7+ years' relevant
experience.EXPERIENCE
- 5 + years' experience in vulnerability management, information
security administration, or security operations.
- Experience in project management, task tracking, and resource
management.
- In depth knowledge of security controls and experience with
vulnerability scanning tools.
- Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of IT security / hardening
best practices, including operating systems, web applications, and
network devices.SKILLS & ABILITIES
- A high level of analytic ability is required.
- In depth understanding of vulnerabilities, hacking techniques
and tools required along with knowledge of system security
architecture and security solutions.
- Candidate will be able to perform comprehensive threat analysis
and recommend the appropriate mitigation and remediation
actions.
- Candidate must be capable of performing application
administration and security threat analysis on system files,
parameter settings, software configuration tables and database
edits.
- Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and organization
skills and exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills
