About the Legal Tech & Ops team
The Legal team is a part of the FIS Legal, Compliance & Corporate
Affairs Group (LCCA) and is comprised of approximately 225
attorneys and legal professionals worldwide who enjoy being an
advisor to and partner with our businesses to help the company
achieve its goals. The Legal Tech & Ops team is a part of the Legal
team, designing and managing processes and technology utilized by
the Legal team as well as by the LCCA Group in general. We work
collaboratively with each other and with our business colleagues to
solve problems in an effective and pragmatic manner. We view our
role as one of supporting our business leaders in a variety of
matters, leading client-centric efforts to drive revenue growth and
enterprise success.
We are seeking a LEGAL TECH BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST II to join the
Legal Technology, Operations and Strategy team, providing support
for the entire Legal team and the LCCA Group, where our vision is
to empower our LCCA colleagues to increase efficiency and
effectiveness through innovative technology and processes.
What you will be doing
This is a role that involves managing and supporting systems,
processes and projects across a complex range of areas and issues
supported by the Legal, Compliance & Corporate Affairs team. This
is a transformative role that will allow you to often work
independently under general instructions. As a result, you must be
adaptable and flexible in taking on new tasks while handling other
responsibilities; moreover, you must be proactive in identifying
areas of need and generating action plans. To be successful, you
should have abilities to develop and create data analytics models
and reports, and be comfortable using systems, tools and processes
customarily used to create data metrics and reporting. You will be
expected to determine how to accomplish work assignments in an
efficient manner and will be given the opportunity to suggest and
implement system and process improvements and changes. Projects and
initiatives will be focused on the Legal team but may include
additional cross-enterprise issues involving compliance, government
affairs, sales, finance, sales operations, or other non-technical
subjects. Projects will include designing user guides and executive
presentations, creating training and podcasts, managing data and
documentation, and managing a wide variety of projects from process
improvement implementations to documentation management and data
support for legal transactions to creating and analyzing metrics
regarding system performance, work flows and strategic
initiatives.
You will also:
Provide high-level administrative management and support and
project management support as needed for projects.
Assist with managing contract lifecycle management programs and
other Legal-focused technology and tools.
Provide operational support to the Legal team on contracting and
legal management tools and processes.
Help the team define and drive strategic and operational
initiatives and develop short- and long-term Legal technology
roadmap.
Assist in identifying and implementing new and existing processes,
as well as managing the design, rollout and training for new
systems, processes and tools.
Develop and enforce database standards and follow up on
inconsistencies.
Plan and coordinate assigned aspects of non-technical projects,
from initiation through delivery and assist in ensuring that
requirements for internal projects align to operational
standards.
Assist in establishing new and maintaining existing procedures for
consistent legal processes and standards; help enforce processes
and policies.
Assist the team with optimizing and streamlining workflows within
the Legal team.
Prepare analytical reporting for legal matters, including client
and procurement contracting, litigation, privacy and
regulatory.
Handle expenditure and cost analysis including analytics regarding
outside counsel spend and budgetary spends for LCCA for matters
including lobbyists, legislation, client, and procurement
contracting, privacy and regulatory.
Expand upon and improve the efficiency and accuracy of
metrics/reporting program and processes, including designing more
robust and dynamic reporting platforms.
Assist in designing, developing, and implementing new and enhanced
reporting processes, and identify opportunities to redesign current
processes.
Assist with the automation of manual processes and drive
efficiencies; promote and implement the automation of repetitive
tasks.
Enhance and maintain leadership and team dashboards, and provide
support for ad hoc reporting demands, quarterly accomplishments,
trends and related KPIs.
Assist management with ad hoc analyses and special projects, and
Present findings of data analysis and metrics to leadership.
Collaborate with team to collect and analyze data; create
presentations and reports based on findings.
What you bring
You must have a college degree or an equivalent combination of
education and business experience.
You must be comfortable with technology and the use of technology
tools in performing your daily work responsibilities, including the
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
You must be willing to learn about contract management and be able
to apply contract administration and processes and concepts.
You must have strong organizational, project management, and
execution skills.
You must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively
within your team and cross-functionally.
You must be able to balance and prioritize multiple tasks
simultaneously, and manage competing priorities effectively and
independently, including driving results and delivering to
deadlines.
You should have experience developing forms, processes, and
policies.
You must be dependable, flexible, and versatile. You must have the
ability to take initiative, research, and solve problems using
learned techniques and tools.
You should have the ability to think strategically while managing
the details, and to make clear recommendations.
You must have a proactive approach to recognizing needs,
anticipating issues, and solving problems.
You must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy in document
review and creation of work product.
You should have the ability to move projects forward by gaining
support from stakeholders.
You must have good data analytical skills and the ability to
effectively interpret and report on data.
You must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationships with colleagues and be able to work
collaboratively with other team members, both within the Legal team
and in other groups.
You must have good communication skills, including the ability to
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
You must have a general knowledge of standards and best practices
relevant to database management.
Moderate to advanced level of proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
(including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) is required.
High competency in creating and working with complex Excel
documents and data visualization tools.
Clear understanding of operational metrics.
Added bonus if you have
Experience or expertise in the payments services or data processing
industry, or in working closely with financial institutions on
their technology matters.
Experience operating contract lifecycle management programs.
