Position Description: This position is responsible for researching, analyzing, and evaluating the organization's operations to identify gaps and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency. This includes monitoring system issues to identify trends and create reports to influence needed system changes and prioritization for implementation.
Essential Functions: Models ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with Citizens' core values, ethics, and information protection policies.



  • Collaborates with stakeholders, managers, and employees across the organization to collect insights and information about potential operational concerns to identify source of the issue.
  • Identifies operational requirements and opportunities for improvement by gathering information from workflows, company reports and employee interviews to determine appropriate methods to analyze operations, relevant information, and data.
  • Prepares reports and presentations to demonstrate recommended solutions and assists with implementing and monitoring the results of these solutions.
  • Develops new processes and procedures to enhance operations. Works with managers and employees to implement and evaluate changes to ensure intended outcomes are realized.
  • Acts as the point of contact on critical operations issues, establishing workgroups with business units across the organization as necessary to spur discussion, gain consensus, and manage the plan to resolution.
  • Monitor and track system issues to identify trends and create reports to influence needed system changes and prioritization for implementation. This includes working with team members to understand initial triage and analysis results and offering input on end user support including documenting workarounds and, if necessary, escalating to IT and notifying impacted parties.
  • Maintain regular written and in-person communications with department management, other department heads, and identified stakeholders regarding activities related to operational issues, opportunities, and resolutions.

    Knowledge:

    • Advanced applied knowledge of system development methodologies, primary of which are Agile and Waterfall.
    • Advanced applied knowledge of information technology and information system development.
    • Strong project management skills with proven ability to work within and facilitate cross-functional teams and work groups.
    • Advanced grasp of technology and how it plays a role in business processes.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, primarily Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Visio.
    • Advanced ability to analyze large, complex data sets using a variety of software and tools.

      Skills & Abilities:

      • Ability to establish attainable goals, objectives, and work plans while working both independently and in team-based, highly-collaborative, environments.
      • Advanced interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, facilitation, mediation, negotiation, collaboration, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
      • Ability to organize material, analyze a wide variety of facts and data and develop appropriate data-driven recommendations.
      • Ability to gather insight into current business performance for the purpose of identifying improvement opportunity candidates using business analytics such as data and statistical analysis.
      • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks concurrently, adapt to change effectively, and adhere to timelines within a fast-paced, changing environment.
      • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex concerns.

        Relevant Experience: 5 or more years of experience in operations analysis to include (3) or more years in the property & casualty insurance industry.
        Education:

        • High School Diploma - GED
        • Associate/Technical Degree OR 2 years relevant experience, OR a combination of both college and experience equivalent to 2 years.
        • Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 4 years.

                This position is hybrid - Selected candidates must live within a commutable distance (approximately 50 miles) to Citizens Jacksonville office location.
