JOB DETAILS- Maintenance TechnicianFirst Shift: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM--DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to, set up equipment as needed, the repair of equipment, performing preventative maintenance, ordering replacement parts for equipment, repair leaks of all kinds. This position requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures and a commitment to customer quality. This position requires flexibility; must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for the following disciplinesGeneral print readingAir systemsWater systemsAir compressorsChilled water systemsSuction and pressure-style powder conveying systemsPumps and valve rebuildsShaft alignment including bearing installation and setting clearancesPerform preventative maintenanceInstall safety devices on equipment and maintain those devices.Order parts as needed.Maintain repair parts inventory.QualificationsElectrical troubleshooting and repair skills with respect to the following:Electrical print readingRelay logic troubleshooting and repairInstrumentation calibration and repairVariable frequency drive troubleshooting/replacement/programmingComputer controlled manufacturing equipmentEducation/ Experience:High school diploma or equivalent;2-year technical school degree desiredMinimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment--Must be willing to attend training sessions as neededPhysical Requirements:Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive a motor vehicle and/or light construction equipment, fork trucks, platform lifts etc; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment; able to read printed materials and a computer screenCompany Profile--The Company is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door products for the new construction and replacement markets.
