Summary: Are you ready to have purpose and fulfillment in your sales career? Join our team, we are searching for a Business Development Representative to expand our company's customer base. With your prospecting strategies, you will identify prospects and initiate first outreach with potential customers that need our unique services. Southern Wrecker & Recovery's Business Development Representative will possess efficient territory cultivation/management skills, excellent written/oral communications skills, and be familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures generally accepted within the field of heavy equipment sales/leasing/transportation. Duties and Responsibilities for the Business Sales Representative include the following. Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.Communicates with customers and leads to recognize and understand their product or service needs; recognizes and suggests products and services to meet those needs.Negotiates and determine appropriate pricing based on volumes, service lanes and potential business. Collaborates with management to establish procedures and identify ways to grow business. Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, notifying them of services, and enhancements that may be of interest.Analyzes and recommend business opportunities for improvement that optimize performance. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, administration, transportation and logistics, or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. 3 or more years' experience preferred in truck transportation, truck brokerage, supply chain management, import/export transportation, customer service, negotiations, or related experience. Work Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - FridayCompensation: $50,000 Base Annual Salary Plus Commission.Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Vacation, PTO, Mileage Reimbursement

Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent sales and negotiation skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of logistics and transportation.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Travel throughout assigned geographic local area. Valid Driver License.Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
