Siemens Intelligent Traffic Solutionsis at the forefront of this revolution. Today, we are working with emergencysupport personnel, city planners, and transportation systems operators not onlyto manage their existing infrastructure and assets, but also plan for thefuture. Our projects focus on installing digital and physical infrastructure tohelp operators know what is happening and where, from tracking buses and trainson their routes, to locating and addressing stalled vehicles, to connectingdrivers with important information about road and traffic conditions. We arealso working on projects related to connected vehicle solutions (V2I) and toMobility-as-a-Service ? both integral aspects of our increasing focus on SmartCities Mobility solutions. We are looking for a forward-thinking,creative, and skilled person to join our Smart Cities team comprised ofdedicated business leads and sales application engineers as we continue to growour presence in the U.S. **PositionOverview:** The ITS team is recruiting for a Senior Program Manager in our Smart CitiesMobility group to be the Head of ITS Florida. This strategic role will supportthe existing solutions in the state of Florida and provide input and Siemens?resources to carry out the strategy, business development, sales growth, andproject implementation for all ITS activity in the state. The Program Manager will report to the Headof Smart Cities Mobility Portfolio. Weare actively recruiting candidates to be based in Florida. In this role, you will be focusing onAdvanced Traffic Management Systems and Smart Cities Solutions - includingConnected Vehicle, Autonomous Vehicle, Traffic Management, Adaptive TrafficControl and Smart Lighting. Here, you'll be generating opportunities byanalyzing and managing customer requirements, developing system designdocuments, technical narrative, developing complete RFP responses, definingwinning strategies, and outlining the benefits of Siemens? ITS portfoliospecific to the customer requirements. Furthermore, you will be asked tolead project teams during implementation and guarantee - meeting business goalsand customer satisfaction by executing complex ITS projects on time and withinbudget. This role requires thought leadership in the respective solution space,applying professional engineering practice in ITS industry, leadership andcommunication skills as well as a strong background in customer relationshipmanagement, proposal management and project management. Candidates willbe evaluated based on the following criteria: + Demonstrated subject matter expertise in ITS,including knowledge of market conditions and potential competitors? activities + A robust network of customer relationships in Floridaincluding FDOT District heads, Miami-Dade County, Orlando, and Tallahassee andaffiliated consultants. Also a plus is anetwork that includes major cities, counties, and departments of transportation, as well as experience working with government clients + Experience developing and implementing abusiness development plan that weighs short-term revenue growth andprofitability, with long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty + Strong writing and presentation skills,preferably demonstrated through a proven track record of winning bids andleading client presentations articulating the value proposition of product /solution / service offerings + Problem-solving ability, including resolvingcustomer complaints and connecting clients to Siemens ITS to solve equipmentproblems + Creative, original thinking, demonstratedthrough examples of situations in which the candidate had an idea, and saw itthrough to completion **Responsibilities** + Interfaces with customer on all project related topics,issues, and opportunities + Ensures the implementation of sales and projects in Floridaas part of the Smart Cities Mobility team + Develops and proposes regional budgets and growth forecasts,aligned with the sales strategy + Manages completion of budgets and regular sales reporting, aswell as defines and allocates resources + Lead customer facing activities (customer interviews, Q/Asessions, project milestone meetings, design approvals, final acceptanceprocedures) from bid generation to final project acceptance + Supports and directs proposal responses by reviewing RFPrequirements, designing and describing technical solutions, and other writtendocumentation as necessary to support proposal generation efforts + Keep up to date with the industry and gather market andcompetitor intelligencein the area of ITS solutions + Presents at regional conferences on Siemens ITS technologyand solutions. + Provides specialized technical training and education + Participates and leads in customer meetings andpresentations, acting as an ITS solution lead + Full P&L (profit and loss) responsibility to implementITS projects and programs on time, in budget. + You'll work directly with different internal departments (Sales,Project Management, R&D, Product Management, Procurement, Legal andField Operations) and external partners (including distribution channelpartners) to successfully deliver projects based on customer requirements andin line with Siemens business goals in time, budget and quality. + Lead project teams and direct Subject Matter Experts, supportfunctions, and third party partners (including distribution channel partners)to execute customer projects and achieve project targets. Competenciesfor this job include: + Understanding of traffic signalcontrol systems, advanced traffic management, adaptive signal control, transitsignal priority, and connected vehicle (V2I)solutions + Familiarity with mobility as aservice offering, transportation-as-a-service or shared mobility topics + Able to translate userrequirements into effective system designs using appropriate ITS technologyKnowledgeable in industry standards + Excellent problem solving skillsand ability to develop new and innovative ideas / solutions + Experience in business andcommercial development + Strong analytical skills + Strong written and verbalcommunication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely + Flexibility to manage diverseworkload + Ability to work both as part of asophisticated multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to workindependently to solve problems + Self-motivated, but also a teamplayer + Willing to travel -50% **Education and Qualifications:** + BS/BA in related discipline, oradvanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education andexperience.
